Border Crossings
Argentina - Paraguay
There has only been a single rail crossing between the countries.
Posadas AR - Encarnación PY
The passenger service across the Paraná River bridge was ceremonially reopened on 12 September 2022. The frequent service using a Trenes Argentinos DMU runs Mondays to Fridays every 30 minutes from each end with passport inspections done at the stations before boarding and after disembarkation. The single tickets can be bought using cash, either currency at both stations, and have a QR code to operate the barriers in Argentina.
