Recent Changes
The Ferrocarril Central Railroad project in Uruguay rehabilitated and constructed a 273km railway line connecting the capital city of Montevideo with the city of Paso de los Toros. The railway line became operational in April 2024.
Future Changes
A 35km light rail route has been proposed to link central Montevideo with El Pinar.
