Note: the railway in Ecuador became bankrupt in 2020 and ceased operating with their assets being transferred to the Ecuadorian State. . Money is being raised to restart operations, hopefully in 2023.

Gauge

  • 1067 mm (3 feet 6 inches) Cape; for main railways.
  • 1435 mm (4 feet 8½ inches) Standard; for metro and tramway.

Electrification

  • 750 V DC for Cuenca Tramway
  • 1500 V DC for Quito Metro
