Recent Changes

The first 5 km of Lima Metro line 2 opened on 21 December 2023 with a free service until April 2024.

Future Changes

FCCA is to host a commuter train service, over the 25 miles between Desamparados station in central Lima and Chosica in the capital’s eastern suburbs, "later in 2025" using equipment withdrawn from service by California’s Caltrain. Further extension west to Callao on the Pacific coast is also envisaged.
