Guatemala |
1.5km of line from Ciudad Hidalgo, Mexico crosses into Guatemala. Contracts were let in 2019 for a detail design study into a tram route serving Guatemala City. In 2021, a pre-feasibility study was launched into a new railway to link with the line from Mexico. See Railways of the World

Nicaragua |

Caribbean
The only Caribbean country known by the compilers to have extensive passenger rail services is Cuba. Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico have metro systems; Barbados, Guadeloupe, Martinique and Saint Kitts and Nevis have tourist railways.
