- Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum in Calera 30 miles south of Birmingham, AL
- Calera & Shelby Railroad. The museum's standard gauge train operates on a 5.5-mile (8.9 km) section of the former Alabama Mineral Railroad
- Shelby & Southern Railroad. This 2 ft (610 mm) gauge railroad in the grounds of the Museum operates over a one-quarter-mile (0.4 km) long loop.
- The Wales West Light Railway is a 1 mile (1.6-kilometre) 2 ft (610 mm) narrow gauge tourist railway in Silverhill, Alabama. It is built to simulate a Welsh narrow gauge railway.
