Rail Operators
The only main-line rail service in Arkansas is an Amtrak long-distance train, the Texas Eagle (Chicago - San Antonio).
Tourist Lines
- Arkansas and Missouri Railroad - This short line operator also run seasonal excursion trains between Springdale, Winslow and Van Buren.
- Eureka Springs & North Arkansas Railway - The ride is approximately 4 1/2 Miles from the depot in Eureka Springs along the restored Missouri and North Arkansas Railroad to “Junction” Arkansas.
- Fort Smith Trolley Museum - Streetcars operate in Fort Smith 0.75 miles (1.2 km) of track.
Metro and light rail systems
Little Rock
Rock Region Metro (RRM) operates public transport in the Little Rock area, including a small streetcar system, branded as METRO Streetcar. The system opened in 2004, but uses heritage vehicles.
